This would be a great gift for any chocolate lover. Simple and oh so yummy!
Brownie Mix
4 cups all-purpose flour 4 tsp baking powder
6 cups sugar 3 tsp salt
3 cups baking cocoa 2 cups shortening
Combine first five ingredients; mix well. Cut in shortening. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place. Mix makes enough for 8 batches of brownies. Attach instructions.
Instructions:
Combine 2 cups mix, 2 eggs, one tsp of vanilla extract and 1/2 cup of chopped nuts; stir until moistened. Spread in a lightly greased 8"x8" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until set in the center. Cut into 2-inch squares. Makes 16.
Tips: Jars are great for this gift. Maybe also add some holiday sprinkles for a seasonal touch. Wrap some extra ribbon around the lid and your done.
